The Roses of 1882 ....
I did not see Madame Jules Grévy (hybrid perpetual, Schwartz) bloom in Luxemburg and Trier, only in London. It is of fine form, but only medium size, salmon-pink. In German nurseries it has been very vigorous, without blooms yet. Does it repeat? Said to descend from Triomphe de l'Exposition x Mme Falcot. Rank: 1-2.
