"Centifolia Typ Kassel" rose References
Book (2020) Page(s) 244. 'Lippoldsberg'. This twice blooming or rather long-blooming Centifolia was found by Hedi and Dr. Wernt Grimm in the garden of the convent at Wahlsburg-Lippoldsberg. In commerce it is also known as 'Typ Kassel'. A centifolia is described by Adolph Otto 1858: " 'Lee perpetual', twice blooming Lee's Centifolia, flowers full, good shape, rosy red." Also August Jäger in his "Rosenlexikon" (1936) mentions a " 'Lee' (Provins) Vibert 1823: luminous bright pink, large, full, flat = Perpetual". Perhaps this could be the foundling 'Lippoldberg'.
