Besonders hervorgehoben wurde im Katalog von 1824 die Rose 'Königin von Dänemark', die mit einem angebotenem Preis von 12 Courantmark das Stück herausstach. Eine Episode der Firmengeschichte zeigt, mit welcher Ernsthaftigkeit das Thema Pflanzenzucht und Pflanzenverkauf in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts betrieben wurde. Im öffentlich ausgetragenem sog. Rosenstreit ging es um die Urheberschaft einer Neuheit. Professor Lehmann, Direktor des botanischen Gartens, behauptete öffentlich, die Neuzüchtung der Rose 'Königin von Dänemark' sei keine Neuzüchtung, sondern die 1806 entstandene Rose 'La Belle Courtisane'. Schliesslich wies Booth 1833/34 anlässlich eines Paris-Aufenthaltes nach, dass Lehmann die Rose 'Königin von Dänemark' selber nach Paris unter dem Namen 'La Belle Courtisane' verkauft hatte.

Particularly highlighted in the 1824 catalog was the rose 'Königin von Dänemark', which stood out with an offered price of 12 Courantmarks. An episode in the company's history shows how seriously the topic of plant breeding and plant sales was pursued in the first half of the 19th century. The so-called "rose dispute", which was held publicly, was about the authorship of a novelty. Professor Lehmann, director of the botanical garden, publicly claimed that the new breed of rose 'Königin von Dänemark' was not a new cultivar, but rather the rose 'La Belle Courtisane', which was created in 1806. Finally, during a stay in Paris in 1833/34, Booth proved that Lehmann himself had sold the rose 'Königin von Dänemark' to Paris under the name 'La Belle Courtisane'.
