Bloom:
Purple. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 4". Medium, very double, in small clusters, flat bloom form. Moderate, spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom. Medium, long sepals buds.
Habit:
Medium, arching, armed with thorns / prickles. Medium, matte, medium green foliage.
Height: 5' (150cm). Width: 6' (185cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders or landscape. Vigorous. Blooms tend to ball in wet weather. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, mildew resistant, rust resistant.

Notes:
Found by Jay Williams near Garberville, CA. A match for Reine des Violettes in color and habit. Chlorotic in an alkaline situation.
