Rose photo courtesy of GoldBeardThePirate Black velvet color really only comes out in cooler temps with lots of water. Best photographed in overcast to capture the flower depth. It really does get very very dark but phone camera want to keep brightening them. The clean spiral center form seems to disappear the temps rise giving the flower a messy look in the summer.
