The most gorgeous climber I have ever seen is Ruth Alexander, produced by Miss Rena Wilber, an amateur, of Seattle, Washington. Our plants have not bloomed, but cut flowers shipped across the continent by air last summer were breath taking in their beauty. The intensely fragrant flowers, with 15 petals, were over five inches across; the colour was orange, each petal edged with old rose. The foliage was the largest, heaviest, bronzy-green I have ever seen on a hybrid Rose. If it will prove hardy it has a great future.
