The small, fully double blooms are a lovely soft yellow and are held in medium-large clusters. It is very healthy with strong, slender growth, attractive polished foliage and few thorns. The Malvern Hills were home to the composer Sir Edward Elgar; W.H. Auden wrote many of his best-loved poems whilst living there and J.R.R. Tolkien often walked its hills.
