Introduced by Reimer Kordes in 1959 as 'Honigniond',  and  bred  from ‘Clare Grammerstorf' x 'Spek's Yellow'. This is a much better rose in cold areas than in warm, because  the yellow holds better, and the plants do not grow so tall. If encouraged by heat, it can become lanky. It is one of the big successes around the city of Aberdeen......The rather light leaves of 'Honeymoon' are typical of the 'Clare Grammerstorf line.
