My other two usual decoratives are Climbing Daily Mail Scented and ... Last year my spray of Daily Mail Scented was the centre of attraction, even surpassing the Countess [of Stradbroke]  in splendour. Rose lovers remarked on the wonderful velvety sheen which enhanced the beauty of her very dark colour. Her shape was full and the loose effect added to her high decorative value. I have picked some exhibition blooms of good shape. She is a satisfactory Rose, being a good grower, free bloomer, and only occasionally shows slight signs of mildew.
