R. Marion Hatton.  An American Review of the New Roses
Frank Cant's Mrs. Oswald Lewis, with a peaches and cream complexion which ends up cream, is another of considerable promise; personally, I like these dainty colours when the flowers have form.

Bush Roses
Mrs. Oswald Lewis (Hybrid Tea)... Canary yellow, outer petals edged flame. Full, deep and perfect in form, carried erect on long stems of the most attractive growth. The habit is vigorous, very free and continuous flowering, with a constitution which renders it exceptionally hardy and disease resisting. Very highly perfumed. Introduced 1936.
Book  (1937)  Page(s) 18.

Harry H. Hazlewood.  The New Roses of 1937.
Mrs. Oswald Lewis, HT. (F. Cant., 1936). It may be through over-propagation, but this variety so far has shown poor growth, while the blooms only carry 20 petals. Even if growth improves, the flowers are not full enough for popular taste.
