'Mexicali Rose' Description

Yellow blend Floribunda. Registration name: Mexicali Rose
Bloom:
Deep yellow, red shading, ages to cerise . Flowers deep yellow turning to deep rose pink, then to cerise-red. None to mild, spice fragrance. 65 to 70 petals. Average diameter 2.5". Medium, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped-to-flat, open bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Small, leafy sepals, long sepals, ovoid buds.
Habit:
Upright, well-branched. Medium, dark green, leathery foliage. 3 to 5 leaflets.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower or garden. Vigorous.
