'Charlotte E. van Dedem' rose References
Book (1939) Page(s) 22. p22. Harry H. Hazlewood. The New Roses of 1939. Taking the rest in alphabetical order, Charlotte E. Van Dedem HT. (Buisman) has 15 fading petals, and is sadly below standard in every respect.
p110. Mr Allen A. Brundrett. A Review of the New Roses in Victoria Charlotte E. Van Dedem, H.T. (Buisman).-The growth is tall, one year plants being nearly 4 ft. high, but not of climbing or semi-climbing habit. The tallest grower I have seen. It is also erect, but not as stiff as President H. Hoover. After watching a shoot grow strongly for 2 ft. or 2 ft. 6 in., one is disappointed to find a small loose flower. The colour, however (golden yellow), is very good, but if large flowers come on established plants I am afraid they will be on 6 ft. stems.
Website/Catalog (1938) Page(s) 6. New Roses for 1938 by European and Other Raisers Raisers' Descriptions Charlotte E. Van Dedem (Hybrid Tea) (Buisman).—Yellow, sweetly scented, vigorous growth, each bloom is carried on a long strong stem. Award of Merit.
