'Blythe Spirit ®' rose Reviews & Comments

The description says ''occasional repeat later in the season''...
This is not my experience.. here in East Anglia, England 2018 it has been a continuous bloomer since May 27 [first bloom]… and now on 18th November it is still flowering, there's no stopping it... this has been one of the hottest driest summers on record, yet it has not stopped this rose... poor dry rubbly soil, no watering, no spraying... it has thrown out a near 6 foot lanky cane though, with large thorns that ' sericea pteracantha' might be proud of... otherwise, an unsung rose worthy of more attention I would say..

Thank you Marlorena. It sounds a wonderful rose. David Austin says “repeat flowering”.

If a breeder has a new rose how do they go about choosing a name for it

The hybridizers I'm aquainted with go about naming seedlings in a number of ways. Mostly it's about finding a name which fits the rose. It's not unlike naming a child.
