Registration name: Professeur Bérard
Origin:
Bred by Joseph Laperrière fils (1907-1983) (France, before 1929).
Introduced in France by Roseraie Laperrière in 1930 as 'Professeur Bérard'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red, purple shading, yellow undertones.  Fringed petals.  Strong fragrance.  Medium, very double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy.  Matte, dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: up to 32" (up to 80cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
