The 1913 Biltmore Rose Catalog says, "This is essentially a southern Rose. It is especially adapted for growing in localities where a long pleasant summer prevails, and will give entire satisfaction in such communities. In color Mlle. Helena Gambier is a beautiful canary-yellow, with a center shading to peach-blossom pink. There is an abundance of large, double flowers, which possess a remarkable degree of fragrance, covering a long blooming season; and the blossoms are of good texture and quite lasting."

I am not sure if this is the same rose or not, but as someone else listed the same name perhaps it is a synonym that arose from a typo?

Yes, possible, there are a number of European roses which have acquired Chinese names in the past. A DNA study would shed light on a number of mysteries.

From the Conard & Jones Co. "New Floral Guide, Autumn, 1913" page 30.

"Roses Selected for Winter Blooms.

Yellow Maman Cochet (Mlle. Helena Gambier). Color, lovely canary-yellow, with deep peachy red center, changing to creamy pink as the flowers open. Large, double and sweet."

Thank you. I have added the reference. At the moment, there doesn't seem enough evidence to add a synonym of 'Yellow Maman Cochet' to this salmon-pink, copper rose.
