This rose was introduced in 1968 under the name of 'Pink Ribbon'..... it was for sale at 12s 6d in old UK money, which today is 62 and a half pence or about 80 cents US...

It is in an old David Austin catalogue dated 1968 and described as a new introduction that year....

Could we have the exact wording and page number from the catalogue and we will add it as a reference.

Here we go Patricia.. from the 1968 catalogue page 18.

''PINK RIBBON [Mme. Butterfly x Mme. Legras de St. Germain] A shrub rose having much of the delicacy and charm of the Alba parent. The flowers are large, semi-double, of blush-pink colouring, which open to reveal both prominent and attractive stamens. Very disease resistant. In time Pink Ribbon will make a medium sized shrub. Pleasant though not pronounced scent. New this year. 12/6''
