‘Tarrawarra’ Modern, polyantha, pink blend, repeat flowering. This variety started out as a seedling at the Nieuwesteeg nursery in Victoria, Australia. The flowers are produced in great abundance in small to large clusters of 10-40 blooms. They are small, only 1 in. (2.5cm) or so across, and contain 28 pale salmon-pink petals that open fully to cream, with just a trace of salmon at the edges. At the center is a boss of golden stamens – a very refreshing effect. ‘Tarrawarra’ forms a small, rounded plant with dense, dark green, rough-textured foliage. It makes an excellent border or low hedge and flowers continuously from spring until late autumn. For maximum effect, the bush needs to be planted in groups close together. Zones 5-10. Nieuwesteeg, Australia, 1992, parentage unknown.
