I am very impressed with this rose. It has been in bloom all summer long. It's blooms are red and velvety, with a darker border. They hold well on the bush and in the vase (I have some on my kitchen counter that have been in the vase for 6 days and still look good). It is also very disease resistant. These cold, damp October nights have encouraged blackspot on a number of my roses, but not Joseph Lamb. Another great Buck rose!

Thank you so much for sharing this comment on a Buck rose. I have been looking for a Buck rose that is good in the vase and is blackspot free, you have saved me alot of effort. Do you have any other Buck roses that have worked well for you? Thanks, Karen

Yes, Prairie Sunrise (a very full apricot) has a great bush and vase life, as does Quietness (a very full soft-pink). I think you'd love both, and they are quite disease resistant in my garden.
