Narzisse HT. Good, reliable rebloom. Outstanding fragrance. Stout, well-spread. Krause, 1942. [provenance:] (San Jose Heritage Rose Gardens). A flower of long-lasting quality that was successful in many climates around the country when introduced; flowers are high-centered, apricot to buff yellow, opening wide and reflexed.

Narzisse Hybrid Tea, apricot to maize-yellow, 1942, 'Golden Rapture' x 'Golden Glory'; Krause. Description.

Dr. A. S. Thomas.  Yellow Roses.
Narzisse is deeper in colour and more rampant in growth. It, too, is apt to ball in bad weather, but every bloom that opens well is a gem.

C. S. Heers.  Notes From Queensland.
Of the more recent varieties on rather short acquaintance I would select Narzisse, the colour being a maize yellow with a trace of apricot. It is very double and opens to a perfectly shaped bloom and also has good growth. I feel sure it is going to suit Queensland.

Dr. A. S. Thomas.  Let Us Take Stock - Old and New
Narzisse (1 plant, 1 year). Strong grower. The big blooms are cream and of ideal conventional form. I expect this rose to appear frequently on the show bench before long.

Novelty Roses 1949. Narzisse (HT. Krause 1942) Long buds opening to blooms of 20-25 petals, apricot to maize yellow. Very double and opening slowly. Recommended. 10/6 each.

R. Marion Hatton.  The World's Novelties
Krause sent Narzisse, one of the few of this year's list of exhibition quality. It is not a free bloomer, but every bloom is shapely and is well over four inches across. The opening colour is pale lemon with pink tints in centre and it ages almost white. There is a pleasing fruity fragrance. Its worst fault is that it holds its dead petals.

Narzisse (Max Krause 1938). A wonderful and very noble novelty. The well-formed, pointed bud is light narcissus-yellow, the petals slightly twisted. The semi-expanded bloom shows a beautiful golden-yellow with a light pink touch on the edges. The fully expanded bloom is also of ideal form and keeps this colouring. The very large blooms are mostly solitary. The foliage is dark green and healthy. A cutting and garden rose of excellent effect. ...Low garden plants 1 piece RM [Reichsmark] 2.-  10 pieces RM 18.-
