Years of Trial 1987-89. Remuera Fl. S. McGredy, New Zealand. Flowers quartered creamy white in well spaced trusses; foliage glossy.

p115. Nola Simpson. Final Analysis 1997-98
Remuera (MACtrampol). McGredy 1991; 'Seaspray' x 'Sexy Rexy'. white; 57 reports on 88 plants; 75 cms; 7.2 rating. A Gold Star winner in the Trial Ground, but has never quite lived up to the performance it showed there. All reports love the heads of white frilly blooms with a picotee edge, but alas plants seem to lack enough get up and go. The initial plants sold were poor and many tried again to get some improvement. Very healthy and it stands the rain well, repeat of blooms is slow. It is best described as a white version of 'Sexy Rexy', the flowers are smaller with a distinctive picotee edge. It seems to need extra feeding to give it more vim and vigour, Otago says hers needs a 'pep' pill to lift it. A lovely little rose nevertheless.

Nola Simpson. Review of Newer Roses for 1995-96 Season.
Remuera (MACtrampol); McGredy 1991; 'Seaspray' x 'Sexy Rexy'; white; 13 reports on 15 bushes; 1-4 years; 75cms; 6.9 rating. A rose that needs more get up and go according to most reporters. Poor plants sold seems to be the main cause. Actually it is a very pretty rose like a white version of 'Sexy Rexy', flowers are slightly smaller with a distinctive picotee edge and come mostly in large clusters. A reporter from Otago says hers needs a 'pep' pill to get it going, slow repeat. MarIborough says it is very good this year and North Harbour says it performs well in the garden. From Manawatu a lovely little rose, stands rain well, healthy, it seems hard to buy a decent plant. Wairoa has found it to be prone to black spot and Bay of Plenty says it lacks vigour.

Nola Simpson. Review of Newer Roses for 1994-95 Season.
Remuera (MACtrampol); McGredy 1991; 'Seaspray' x 'Sexy Rexy'; white; 14 reports on 37 bushes; 1-3 years; 75cms; 7.2 rating. Best described as a white version of 'Sexy Rexy', flowers slightly smaller with a distinctive picotee edge, borne mainly in large clusters on a low growing compact bush. The bushes are very healthy and the vigour good. The reports received are variable mainly due to starting off with poor plants and several say it had better shape up soon. Manawatu suggests it needs extra good feeding. North Otago finds it has 'Sexy Rexy' failing, heads too heavy for stems, repeat slow. Marlborough finds it slow to grow but an attractive white. Could do with a bit more get up and go by the sound of it.

Nola Simpson. Review of Newer Roses for 1993-94 Season.
Remuera (MACtrampol); McGredy 1991; ''Seaspray' x 'Sexy Rexy'; white; 11 reports on 13 bushes: 1-3 years; 85cms; 7.0 rating. Best described as a white version of 'Sexy Rexy'. Flowers slightly smaller with a distinctive picotee edge, borne mainly in large clusters on a low growing compact bush. The bushes are very healthy and the vigour good. The reports received are variable, mainly due to disgusting plants some have received. Otago is struggling with a pathetic plant; likewise a grower from Sanson.

Nola Simpson. Review of Newer Roses for 1992-93 Season
Remuera (MACtrampol) McGredy 1991; 'Seaspray' x 'Sexy Rexy'; white; 9 reports on 10 bushes; 1-2 years; 60cms; 7.6 rating. Best described as a white version of 'Sexy Rexy', flowers slightly smaller with a distinctive picotee edge, borne mainly in large clusters on a low growing compact bush. The bushes are very healthy and the vigour good. A Nelson report received a tiny spindly plant which she is most unhappy with and has since defoliated with black spot, thinks it should never have been sold. Needs another year to get a better assessment.

p24. Nola Simpson, New Zealand International Rose Trial Ground. Trial 19. 1988-1989.
The Gold Star of the South Pacific and Certificate of Merit for the highest / pointed rose on trial went to MACtrampol ['Seaspray' x 'Sexy Rexy'], a white floribunda bred by Sam McGredy, NZ. This rose scored highly in both years of trial and was a clear cut winner. It has a compact growth habit, with medium green, glossy foliage and above average disease resistance. The flowers are double with a formal camellia-like shape, not unlike 'Sexy Rexy' and they are carried in well spaced trusses. The petals have good substance and remain unmarked in adverse weather conditions.
