Georges Schwartz rose photo
Rose photo courtesy of HubertG
From the Harold Taylor Collection, Slide 98, courtesy of the California Revealed Repository. The text on the website reads in part "Colorized photograph on a small glass panel depicting a tea rose bush. Roses are light yellowish orange against the contrasting clear blue sky. Flowers are in various stages of bloom. In the background, trees of differing types can be seen out of focus. On the side of the panel, "Madame Georges Schwartz. April 22 1917." is written. "Madame George Schwartz" is the name of the rose itself. This slide is assumed to be an original lantern slide autochrome created by Harold A. Taylor, a California photographer and longtime resident of Coronado."
