C. W. Heers, Q'ld. Roses in Queensland
Aribau, which I previously described as an ordinary red, appears to have developed a distinctive shade and is quite attractive as a garden variety. The growth is strong and upright, flowers are freely produced on strong, rigid stems buried in heavy foliage and guard petals, giving, in all, a rather unique appearance on the bush.

Aribau Pernt. (P. Dot, 1936) has not so far shown any qualities to justify its retention in the Rose lists.

p114.  Allen Brundrett.  New Roses in Victoria.
Aribau (Dot).-The colour of this is rather unusual, but similar to that of Rosette, a very clear light red. The blooms are full
(30 petals), of good shape (promising for exhibition) and held erect on long stems.

Aribau (Pernetiana)... Brilliant red. The long pointed buds open to large double flowers of cupped form, long lasting and very profusely borne right through the season. The growth is vigorous and upright, with abundant large glossy foliage. Highly perfumed. Introduced 1937.
