Book (1939) Page(s) 77. R. Marion Hatton. An American Review of the New Roses. ... and Majorca, from war-wrecked Barcelona, are Dot's offerings, and both will have a chance... Majorca has large blooms ranging from orange pink in summer to orange scarlet in fall. It has a strong, rather unpleasant scent. The plants carried better foliage than many of Dot's plants do, and bloomed very well. It looked very good.

Its bushy and free habit make it a brilliant bedding variety and the bright foliage is highly resistant to disease. 4/- each.

DOT San Feliu de Llobregat Prov. de Catalogne (Espagne) « Majorica ». — Arbuste à très forte végétation, érigé ; le feuillage excellent est vert sombre, le bouton se dresse sur un pédoncule rigide. Il est de couleur d'Orient avec des reflets rouge Capucine. La fleur compte de 28 à 35 pétales. L'onglet est jaune, le pétale est d'un coloris très franc rouge capucine passant au rose pur à la défloration, sans violet.
