Holtermann's Gold rose photo
Rose photo courtesy of SteveinAus
Taken today at Rankins Roses Nursery, Melbourne, Victoria. (Mid spring). Very good HT rose, this one. Strong yellow colour that doesn't seem to fade much, if at all, is quite well formed and sized and has a nice medium fragrance. Is also reportedly good for cutting, is a very vigorous and apparently pretty prolific bush and it flowers early. Ticks a lot of boxes. Not very well known, probably because of the non-commercial name, but definitely seems to be one of the better yellow hybrid teas on the market in Australia. In fact it's pretty much on top of my "yellow rose" wishlist, as it has so much going for it.
