Bred by Mathias Tantau, Jr. (1912 - 2006) (Germany, 1968).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1969 as 'Erotika'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red.  Strong, damask fragrance.  30 to 35 petals.  High-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 37" to 4¼' (95 to 130cm).  Width: 2' (60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
