The bud is a fiery orange splashed with scarlet, while the fully-developed flowers are of a golden apricot; but always it is beautiful, and a bunch of these in the springtime is a glory to behold. Mine is the climbing variety, and has made an immense plant. I find that a light trimming in the summer ensures quantities of autumn blooms also.
