Svend Poulsen. The Poulsen Roses. 'Grethe Poulsen' (1916), raised from 'Ellen Poulsen', with 'Mme. Laurette Messimy' as pollen parent, has inherited the male parent's wealth of flower, growth, and freedom, combined with its mother's hardiness and long life. Decidedly a bedding rose, its color is cerise on a yellow ground, which does not fade in the sun. No show rose, but it is excellent in the garden, and is much planted in Denmark, both in gardens and parks.
