Origin:

Bred by L. Pernille Olesen (Denmark, before 1987). Bred by Mogens Nyegaard Olesen (Denmark, before 1987).
Introduced in Denmark by Poulsen Roser A/S in 2001 as 'Christopher Columbus'.

Class:

Floribunda, Patio. (Series: PatioHit ® Collection, Towne & Country ® Series)

Bloom:

White and pink, stripes. Strong fragrance. Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped, flat bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Short, bushy. Dark green foliage.

Height: 30" (75cm). Width: 2' to 3' (60 to 90cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

The present invention constitutes a new and distinct variety of shrub rose plant which originated from a controlled crossing between an unnamed seedling (non-patented) and unnamed seedling (non-patented).....`POULbico` was selected by the inventors as a single plant from the progeny of the hybridization in the spring of 1987 as a single plant from the progeny of the aforementioned hybridization.
