The Scent on this is amazing! Kim's pictures are so much better than RVR and true to mine.

Is 'Edith Schurr' a good hip producer?
Thanks,

This rose came through my 5b winter with no damage. It had some mulch as protection as well as some snow (snow fall was average at best). Would recommend this for hardiness zone 5b

I have had an Edith schurr for about five years now, and while I have not had great success with it, the stems are unable to hold the flowers up very well, I know it is something missing in my soil or in my care. I love this rose. the scent is amazing, the flowers beautiful, so I plant nasturtiums near it these days to mask the puny stalks and I prop the flowers with forked branches and sticks. it is the one troublesome rose in my garden of twenty-four roses that I would make this level of effort for. It is own-root, and I read that it was easy to grow at one point, so I hope this year, after having to move it to accommodate a landscaping change, I will get it right!
