Origin:

Bred by L. Wilhelm Hinner (Germany, 1901). Bred by Nicola Welter (Germany, 1901).
Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1904 as 'Friedrich Harms'.

Class:

Hybrid Tea.

Bloom:

Golden-yellow, darker center. Reverse shaded light pink. Strong fragrance. Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, button-eye bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Glossy, dark green foliage.

Growing:

USDA zone 7b and warmer. Hardy. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Walter and Hinner were partners in 1900/01, but then separated. This rose was possibly issued by both under different names.
