Hybridisation of Roses by WALTER EASLEA
It was an amateur, Mr. Postans, who raised Lord Bacon, from which Mr. Hugh Dickson evolved Hugh Dickson, crossed, I believe, with Gruss an Teplitz. I could give numbers of crosses that have produced glorious Roses, many not yet in commerce, but each amateur must use his own discretion, and try and break fresh ground.
