"Orpheline de Juillet" HCh. No rebloom. Good fragrance/ Habit [diagram] 1. [Provenance: Heritage Rose Gardens, Ca.; James Sagmiller, N.V.] Very deep blue-purple to black petals of a silken sheen, cupped and scalloped, with a pale lavender eye and golden stamens. Very dark and mysterious, as is its original name. There was a rose name 'Orpheline de Juillet'; this is not it.
