Ses fleurs, rose pur, semi-doubles à doubles, s’ouvrent jusqu’à 8cm de diamètre … Ce rosier d’une santé sans faille, y compris en site ingrat, forme des haies impénétrables et se plaît en sous-bois clair. Rabattre le vieux bois après la floraison pour discipliner son port lâche. Original et rare, il pourrait aisément se ranger parmi les Damas…. Avant 1823.
