David Thompson is a very hardy carefree rose that repeats blooming very well. It flowers in early June here in Ottawa, Canada. The first flush is amazing with huge flowers. No disease, no watering, only little fertilizer .. this rose thrives on neglect. The only problem is Japanese Beetles who loves this rose and other roses in my garden. I don't detect any fragrance but my sense of smell is not that good with roses. My wife says its a nicely fragrant rose.
Hardy to the tip , highly recommended for North Gardeners.
