'Charles Quint' rose Reviews & Comments

Hi , hope you are all well. In the references it said That Charles Quint, is errononeusly labelled in Sangerhausen, but the picture of the rose taken in Sangerhausen seems to match the earlier descriptions of panaché. Therefore, the Sangerhausen, rose should be the correct one, or not ? Regards Giulio

Hella Brumme was a long-time director of Sangerhausen. Unfortunately the book does not say on what basis 'Chales Quint' was termed erroneously labeled. The stripes are probably not enough to determine the correctness. I could imagine that they have the same rose under several different names. Have a look at the site
blog.staudenundrosen.de/rosenvergleiche-startseite/gestreifte-alte-rosen/
where Karin Schade compares striped OGR's with different names.
