Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1897 as 'Charles Gater'.

Crimson to vermilion. Strong fragrance. 40 petals. Large, double (17-25 petals), globular bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
