Bloom:
Crimson to vermilion. Strong fragrance. 40 petals. Large, double (17-25 petals), globular bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.
Height: 4' (120cm). Width: 3' (90cm).

Notes:
In the Royal National Rose Society's Rose Annual, George Paul described Charles Gater as his "old friend and foreman." He is identified as "Charles Gater, of Cheshunt, and his brother William, of Slough... were probably the best growers of pot Roses the world has seen..."
