Origin:
Bred by Mariani (Italy, before 1834). Introduced in Australia by John Baptist in 1861 as ' Rosa microphylla alba odorata'.

Found Rose, Hybrid Bracteata.
Bloom:
White, light pink center, light yellow center. Strong fragrance. Medium-large, double (17-25 petals), flat bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Climbing. Glossy foliage.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Very vigorous.

Notes:
For clarification about parentage and questions about breeder, see References. Although several sources attribute 'Alba Odorata' to Antoine Levet (1874), this rose had been around for 40 years previously.
Rosa microphylla alba odorata was also named Rosa bracteata flore pleno, leading to confusion with Macartnea plena
