Origin:
Bred by Mariani (Italy, before 1834). Introduced in Australia by John Baptist in 1861 as ' Rosa microphylla alba odorata'.

Bloom:
White, light pink center, light yellow center. Strong fragrance. Medium-large, double (17-25 petals), flat bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Climbing. Glossy foliage.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Very vigorous.

Although several sources attribute 'Alba Odorata' to Antoine Levet (1874), this rose had been around for 40 years previously.
