'Pink Perpétué' rose Reviews & Comments

I've never commented on this favorite rose. Her blooms are lovely -- medium sized -- and look like the icing blooms on a cake. The shape and texture of them is just wonderful. They are an interesting and gorgeous medium warm pink, almost a color I'd call 'watermelon'. It's not a strange color, but it's subtly different than the usual pinks. She still blends well with other colors.
She blooms well without full sun, which is nice. I detect no fragrance. She is not overly vigorous and takes a while to get tall. Great disease resistance here. I have her own-root and no-spray. One of my top 5 or so roses for her unusually beautiful qualities and utility!

I love this climber. It is always in bloom throughout the summer. The blooms are smaller sized, but well formed. It gets some black spot down here in humid Atlanta, but I spray when I have time, and it seems to do fine. It is tougher and healthier naturally than my hybrid teas, less disease prone. Thrips and mites dont seem to bother it much either----All in all it seems to be the kind of rose you want to have scrambling up a fence or pillar that is low maintenance but pretty.
