A very tall growing semi-double bright dark red that is early, and splendid as a landscape variety. The color is a deep garnet, with a sheen so rich that the variety is very noticeable among all other reds. Blooms are somewhat small, and irregular in shape until the plant becomes well established, when they become perfect in form and of good size and wonderful in color. Awarded a silver medal by the Massachusetts Horticultural Society.
