I have a Cécile Brunner, Cl. but I am not sure if it is an Ardagh 1904 or a Hosp 1894. What is the difference and how do you tell the difference?

Ardagh was an Australian man. If you live in Missouri, you are more likely to have the Hosp introduction.

[in passing.... the 1922 reference for the Ardagh sport is most interesting]

From the descriptions in the reference section on Ardagh's Cecile Brunner it sounds more like 'Spray Cecile Brunner'.
Large shrub,suitable for hedging etc.
The early Australian references that I have also describe C.B.Climbing in a similar manner.
Is it possible that the Australian version was 'Spray Cecile Brunner'?
