I wonder if anyone growing this could compare it to 'Belle Amour'. It's hard to find photos of "Fairmount Semi-Double" anywhere beyond the High Country Roses website.

The HCR pictures sure look like Belle Amour. I might have to buy one this year.
I also strongly suspect that their "High Country Banshee" is identical to another Colorado found rose "Graveyard Alba", which seems to have disappeared from sight and never was in commerce. I think it has pretty well been determined that HCR's "Jeremiah Pink" is Banshee. Beautiful and huuge bush, wonderful display if you have room for it.

I will be posting some pics of FSD soon.
I can see how you could think they look similar from some of the pics. However, in real life Bell Amour has a warmer color. Some say coral or peach but I wouldn't go that far. Also, BA bloom is smaller and more double, has the myrrh scent, and its canes are much thornier. FSD is hardier.

Do you know Ms. Netter? The website address we have for her on HMF is inactive. Is Langford Garden her home garden?
IDK about the correct ID of "Banshee". Unless it is indeed the same as "Jeremiah Pink", I have never grown it. I would like more information about Ms. Netter's "Graveyard Alba".

Langford Homestead is my garden in New Hampshire. I'm having trouble figuring out how HMF organizes member information and different ways of communicating, Q & C, Member Garden, etc. Cheryl Netter is in Colorado. I don't know her personally but I private messaged her because another HMF member mentioned she had information about Banshee. She kindly responded and said my rose could be Banshee based on the enlongated calix and some other characteristics. She said she'd had a discussion with Paul Barden (Oregon rosarian also no longer active on HMF) and they determined that the foliage was key. She suggested posting detailed closeup photos of the foliage and stems, and based on that she confirmed my rose is Banshee. She also very emphatically said HCR's rose is not Banshee. I think she might be the rosarian HCR mentions in their catalog, lol. I don't think she was the one that mentioned "Graveyard Alba," I'll try to find that post.

First year potted in my care it is doing exceedingly well. After settling its roots in it sent out a number of canes. The first flush of flowers came rather quickly after and there were about 5. The flower form was excellent with clean centers and medium sized blooms. The color was chocking coral which is beautiful though it was photographed in more of a waxy mid pink. Once the first flush finished the next was already on its way. This flush had even better formed flowers still of a decent size in extreme heat. They did NOT burn and crisp like some of my others did but they were not fully open. More observations are needed for that. The color is EXACTLY as I had hoped. So far this is a winner for me. It has a soft tea fragrance wit that apple note. It does not carry but it's not needed. If you find this one I recommend it. I do spray and drench and so far its had maybe a leaf or 2 with spot after weeks of rain a dip in temps and then heatwave with high humidity. the plant is about 2.5 ft tall after being planted bare root in April.
