I have had X-Rated since about 1996 (plant came from the original Tiny Petals Nursery). One of my favourites for cutting. A very vigorous blooming machine with one of the stronger fragrances I've experienced of all minis. When I need cut roses, I can always rely on X-Rated for a nice selection of beautiful blooms. The foliage is also nice dark green with leathery leaves. I had it in a slightly shady area where it still grew vigorously even with occasional White Powdery Mildew. It did get Blackspot for the first time last winter. I don't "routinely" spray for fungus living in Zone 10A, but last winter was not sunny and quite wet and I ended up with a lot of WPM and BS in my garden (no pun intended). Being more susceptible, I have since moved this rose to a very sunny location so it is doing much better with fungi.

I have several that are in an area receiving only 1 to 2 hours of sun, and they still give lots of long lasting blooms!

This is a Queen Machine, which makes perfectly form show roses. Mostly one-to-a-stem, the cut flower will hold for in a vase or longer on the plant. It is photosensitive, meaning that pink blush needs sun to show up. If opened indoor, the flowers will have a pure white color, wherever the petal has not seen the sunlight.

The bush got huge in my garden, easily filling a 4 x 4 feet space and also stood at least 3 feet tall. I have seen more than 100 blooms on a plant at one time.

The only negative comment that I can make is that this rose will get powdery mildew, if your garden gets mildew. It should be kept on a spray to resist fungi.

X-Rated is a blooming fool for us. The only complaint I have is the blooms look pretty bad as they age (same complaint I have with Gemini). A very good mini if Deb lets me get rid of the open blooms. She likes them
X-Rated gets a little over 2 feet tall x 3 feet wide so far (2 years). It has 50+ blooms per flush and turnaround time is 5 - 6 weeks. Fragrance is moderate to strong.

Edit 3/09: X-Rated has become pretty much fantastic. Improvement each year is hard to believe. X-Rated is not cane hardy here but canes are green to the snowline or above. Only Sweet Chariot takes cold weather better than X-Rated of our minis. Spring growth usually starts early. It is one of the early bloomers and gives us over 100 blooms per flush. Turnaround time is fast, about 5 weeks. Buds on the next flush are opening as the last blooms on the previous one are fading.
Blooms open slowly. They look hideous to me after a week if left on the bush. The blush turns a brownish color I don't like at all. It doesn't bother Deb as much as I. Old blooms age better when cut. Deb uses them a lot in bouquets. I rate fragrance strong and Deb agrees. Scent has gotten stronger and more consistent the last couple years.

X-Rated gets 3+ feet tall x 4+ feet wide for us now. It is very vigorous. Foliage looks good. It is thick and lush. Blackspot isn't a problem here. I've never seen powdery mildew on X-Rated. I have washed foliage twice a week since it was planted and that keeps pm away for us.

Excellent rose - one of best 5 minis we grow. Irresistible is the only mini that performs better. Come to think of it, the Irresistible planted in 2005 hasn't outperformed X-Rated. The one planted in 2001 is the monster that does better. X-Rated is planted where it gets full sun from dawn until 1700 and dappled sun until sundown. The new Irresistible gets a couple hours less sun.
