Warm Welcome  Arguably the best PIT winner of the last twenty years. It grows about 7ft high and is never out of flower (it was still flowering last January). Its little orange flowers never mark or fade but it is ferociously thorned.

E. F. Allen, Awards to Third Year Rose Seedlings in Great Britain in 1988.
A Gold Medal and the President's International Trophy were awarded to CHWIZZ an unusual and vigorous Climbing Miniature bred by Chris Warner  (['Elizabeth of Glamis' x ('Galway Bay' x 'Sutters Gold')] x 'Anna Ford'). By early May it was covered with coloured buds and the vermilion blend all flowers have been carried in continuous profusion all season. When this seedling was sent for trial Mr. Warner was still an amateur so he also receives the Torridge Award. It is not yet in commerce.
