In New Orleans, here, I'm only halfway through my second year with this rose but already have a good idea of its qualities. It established very quickly for me. First few blooms were very poor form but after that they've been exquisite! Truly top-notch exhibition form. They last well, too. Medium-length stems, leaves proportionate to the bloom size, which is 2 to 2 and a quarter inches diamerter here. My only disappointments are 2 things: First: this is a huge blackspot magnet. With my regular spray routine of Bayer Disease Control (tebuconozole), this is my Only rose to blackspot, and it does it frequently. I'm tolerating it for now, because the rose is prolific and has great form, and the spray is keeping it from being more than a minor annoyance, but don't even think of growing this rose without regular spraying, unless blackspot is non-existent in your area.
Second problem is purely subjective. Peter Cottontail is not blushing white, as I thought, rather an odd color somewhere between ivory and pale yellow. Not my favorate; but of course others might love it. The name suggests a purer white, which it isn't.
