We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.

Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

p33.  E. F. Allen, Awards To New Rose Seedlings In Great Britain In 1984.
Let me now mention a seedling not tested in the Trial Ground but which has impressed me this season:  'Margaret Thatcher' KORflug, a Kordes glasshouse variety found by the Mattocks of Oxford to thrive well outside. It is best described as a dwarf, robust, paler pink version of 'Sylvia' with petals of good texture. It was shown very well at Chelsea, in May, but less well after a wet spell in September. I have already bought three plants of it.

p80.  Jack Harkness, UK. New Roses Galore.
In the summer of 1984 BARB offered:... The name of Korflug was given as ' Flamingo'; quite suitable for a pink Hybrid Tea, so long as we can forgive it for being the fifth of that name. I suppose flamingos go in flocks. The others are from Dickson 1929, Howard 1956, Buyl Frères 1958 and Horstmann 1961. But in the summer this latest Flamingo was suddenly renamed 'Margaret Thatcher', in spite of a rose being given that name by Takatori in Japan a year or two ago.

Superbe fleur rose tendre, parfumée. Sa longue tenue en vase en fait une excellente variété pour la fleur coupée. Hauteur 60-80 cm.

Roy and Heather Rumsey, NSW.  New Roses.
Flamingo  HT. (Kordes): A beautiful soft pale pink of 20 to 25 petals. Lovely buds, and a splendid rose for floral work. Long stems, and good keeping quality. Flowered all through the season, starting early, and only stopped when pruning was done in July.
