bought mine at a school plant sale--doing lovely at first in the house.
However, the tag says "Moderate home temp 65-70 degrees" I assumed this meant it can be an indoor plant. However, my plants are blooming but quickly losing their leaves (they turn yellow & fall off.) I put them in the window sill but doesn't seem to help, it says"indirect light."
If I put it out in the garden with my other roses it will get the 6hrs of recommended sunlight, but here in VA it will be much too hot & direct sun in the afternoon. If I put it on the other side of the house it will be with the shade garden items like the bleeding heart & hydrangea & hosta, etc. only getting a few hrs. of morning sun.
Help! Which side do you think I should plant them? any suggestions appreciated

Roses perform better when they get at least six hours of sunlight. I garden in a climate where the summer temperatures are in the mid 90s to low 100s. For now, most of my miniature roses are in large containers. Many of them get more than six hours of hot sunlight and do quite well.
The impact of the heat will make some roses blow faster. Others will fade in color. And others will put on more petals while some will put on fewer petals. In other words, it's hard to predict how your rose will perform in your garden.
I just make sure that the roses get plenty of water and enjoy the show.
Smiles,

you have to treat them like regular size roses they get bigger than you think. I have mine in a large pot in partiall shade. This way you can check their water and they also need more then six inches of soil, sit them up high in the pot. They also may need some fertilizer. Hope this helps
