Clearly Stirling Macoboy commits an error when he writes of Howard & Smith as a "Montecito partnership." He meant Montebello.

Some time ago, after maintaing for a considerable time, I killed My wife's White Christmas rose, and have been trying to replace it ever since. None of the sources listed at Help me find carry this variety. Please advise where I can purchase a White Christmas Rose, preferably I've been advised on Fortunato stock.

White Christmas is not an easy rose to find. Vintage Gardens in Sebastopol, CA has it, but it is not on the currently available list. You could order it as a custom-root or simply wait and hope it comes along soon. The VG website is www.vintagegardens.com
