Seedlings approximately 1-3 months old are placed in 3 inch pots and individually labeled. It takes them another month or two to get into the garden (if it is warm enough) or into the next size pot up

A seedling from an open-pollinated seed of Perennial Blue

New seedlings a few weeks after germination. Terminated seeds are placed in individual cells until enough roots are formed that they are able to hold the soil in place. They are then transplanted to 3 inch pots for further growth and evaluation.
