Survived the first winter in Zone 3B with only a 2-inch layer of wood chips as protection for the roots. It has been clean in both the establishment year and in the second summer of growth. A stunner in bloom!

In general, I've never expected much from J & P with respect to disease resistance--but Snowcone has proved an exception. It has been healthy for 4 summers--even avoiding the ravages of leafspot that plague so many roses in my climate. It has remained essentially clean and has made it through 3 winters in Z 3B (hopefully soon to be 4 winters if the snow ever melts) with no protection other than 2 inches of wood mulch in the fall.
